Exotics Direct is running as a demo. Payments are in Stripe's test mode, so no real money is taken, and test orders do not ship: makers are told each one is a test order.

What the demo stores

• Customers: your email, and for an order your name, delivery address and phone number as you give them at checkout; your orders, the status of each item, and any problem you report.
• Live-feed subscriptions: the plan, how often, and the delivery address and phone number.
• Makers and farms: business name, address, contact email, and the names and emails of the people who sign in for them.
• Country enquiries: the country, your email and your message.
• A record of each email the site sends: who to, what kind, and whether it went.

While this is a demo, a maker sees only your initials and postcode district, never your full address or phone number.

Who handles it

Stripe takes payments, Brevo sends the emails, Fly.io hosts the site and Neon holds the database.

Cookies

One cookie remembers the country you deliver to. Signing in sets one more, which keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
